Allergy Symptoms
Allergy Symptoms are not confined to one or any allergy, but the patient can also have the same symptoms as other medical conditions. They may have suffered from this allergy for many years without knowing as they might recognise this as another medical disease. They can also vary quite vastly as differing allergens can produce a different response.
Hay Fever
Hay fever is the most common. These are normally seasonal and is due mostly to pollens. Some of the symptoms include sneezing, runny and/or stuffy nose, and continual throat clearing.
It was also thought to come from new hay given that it was a seasonal infection.
Ezcema
Allergy Symptoms for ezcema include a rash around the face(especially the eyes), behind the knees and in the creases of the patients elbows (more notable in adults and older children). You will also find that the skin appears dry, slight redness will appear, and the skin will become itchy.
Depending on how healthy your body is(if your body has become weak due to other illness) will determine how they can be treated.
Airborne Allergens
Examples of airborne allergens are perfumes, chemical fumes, pollens and dust mites.
The following are symptoms of airborne allergens:
- respiratory restrictions that cause a shortness of breath or wheezing
- watery and itchy eyes
- coughing, sneezing
- a redness of the eye along with a discharge from the eye(conjunctivitis-this can be caused from a viral or bacterial infection).
Contact Allergies
Symptoms of contact allergies are caused when the skin reacts to an allergen coming into contact with the skin. These Allergy Symptoms may begin as a minor rash and eventually lead to severe ezcema or swelling in the mouth or throat which can be fatal if left untreated by medical assistance.
Rashes, hives, swelling, blisters, and dermatitis all follow the immediate response to Allergy Symptoms where the skin will become red and itchy.
If you have symptoms of anaphylaxis(hypersensitive reaction to an injection or ingestion of a substance), you must seek immediate medical assistance as your heart rate will increase dramatically, your blood pressure will drop significantly, you will go into shock and lose consiousness and may ultimately die.
The best advice is to be diagnosed by a certified medical practitioner or nurse to consider and evaluate your Allergy Symptoms.
